Over 100 run/walkers, top photo, took advantage of Saturday's blue sky as participants of the 24th Annual Don Osborne Memorial Run, hosted by the Oakdale Lions Club. Top three finishers by gender, as well as age group were awarded for both the 1 mile and 5k races. The Friends of the Oakdale Library will be hosting its annual used book sale at the Bianchi Community Center on March 8, 9 and 10 this year. Last year over 4,000 books were sold to people here in Oakdale. This has been the organization's primary fundraiser since the first sale over 50 years ago. The money raised from the sale of used books goes to the local library to support both youth and adult activities.
