Denham Receives Awards For Work On Healthcare

Emergency Preparedness Drills Scheduled In Sonoma, Sacramento

In recent months, California and the nation have been no strangers to devastating natural and man-made emergencies. This week, the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) will join with the California National Guard's Homeland Response Force (HRF) and 95th Civil Support Team, along with multiple State/Federal Urban Search and Rescue Task Forces, CAL FIRE, FBI, the Department of Energy, and several other elite emergency response agencies for a full-scale terrorism and active-shooter response exercise at Sacramento's Sleep Train Arena and Sonoma Raceway.

California Drivers See Gas Prices Rising

Average retail gasoline prices in Modesto have risen 3.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.21/gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 201 gas outlets in Modesto. This compares with the national average that has increased 2.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.54/gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

The American Red Cross is making regularly scheduled visits to Oakdale for blood drives, the latest occurring this past Thursday, March 15. The community drives are designed to help bolster the blood supply in the region. Blood donors here stopped by the Gene Bianchi Community Center to make their donations.
