The Stanislaus Wildlife Care Center celebrates spring with its annual Baby Animal Shower. Come see some of their educational animals up close and personal. Baby animals in rehab will not be displayed. There will be games, cookies and punch, face painting, T-shirts for sale, and crafts for kids. There is no admission charge, but a list of suggested gifts is on the website: StanislausWildlife.org. The shower is Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wildlife Center inside Fox Grove Fishing Access, 1220 Geer Road, Hughson.

The cars began rolling in to the 50's Roadhouse in Knights Ferry early Saturday morning for the third annual Car and Motorcycle show hosted by American Veterans First proprietor, Duke Cooper. The car show began at 10 a.m. and had over 200 guests canvassing the event throughout the day viewing the marvelous treasures from the 30's, 40's, 50s, 60s, and 70s.

The Modesto Junior College Department of Art presents "A Mother's Tears" art show featuring the paintings of Susan Levy and dedicated to the memory of her daughter Chandra Levy. The show opens on Monday, May 15 and runs through Thursday, June 1 in the MJC Art Gallery on the East Campus, 435 College Ave., Modesto. The gallery is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and admission is free.
