Small Farm Conference Celebrating 30 Years

All members of the California small farm community are invited to register for the 30th California Small Farm Conference, the state's premier gathering for small-scale farmers, ranchers, farmers' market managers, and those who support them. Western Days Attendees Enjoy Entertainment, Grub

Oakdale's Cowboy Capital lived up to its name on Saturday, Oct. 7 as the Oakdale Tourism and Visitors Bureau hosted their second annual Western Days event at the Oakdale Rodeo Grounds. Crash Impacts Traffic

Oakdale Police have issued an advisory that, due to a traffic accident involving a power pole, traffic at East G Street and South Fifth Avenue, northbound and southbound Sixth Avenue and eastbound G at Grove Street is currently closed due to a traffic accident. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes.

Center For Human Services Hosts Block Party

Center for Human Services (CHS) Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center will host the Seventh Annual Community Block Party on Friday, Oct. 6 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 631 W. F St., Oakdale. This family-friendly event focuses on providing information, connections and fun activities to residents in Oakdale and neighboring communities. Dozens of organizations will share their resources as well as free food, music, a photo booth, giveaways and face painting. CHS - Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center will also host a free market that will include books, clothing and household items.

Little Oakdale Stampede Mascots Skye Turner and Paizlee Gillmore brought their cute Stampede spirit to the field to help cheer on the varsity boys during a recent contest at The Corral. Both Skye and Paizlee are part of a mascot squad that helps cheer at different levels each home game; the Stampede youth football squads return to The Corral for games this Saturday, Oct. 7.
