Screening Of ‘Chasing Ice’ Planned

The Modesto Junior College Civic Engagement Project (CEP) invites the community to a screening of the documentary film "Chasing Ice" on Thursday, April 17, at 7p.m. in Forum 110 on East Campus, 435 College Ave., Modesto. This is the final event of the CEP Spring Film and Lecture Series and admission is free. Campus parking is available for $1 in student parking lots.

Reclamation Increases Stanislaus River Flows

Beginning on Monday, April 14 the Bureau of Reclamation began increasing releases from Goodwin Dam into the Stanislaus River to benefit Stanislaus River steelhead and San Joaquin River Chinook salmon. Goodwin Dam is located downstream from Tulloch Dam and New Melones Dam and Reservoir, features of the Central Valley Project.
