Winter or Spring?

Mother Nature turned chilly Wednesday, Feb. 16 with a cold storm, ending the week-long sunny weather and spring-like temperatures that coaxed wildflowers into an early appearance throughout the city. Catch Up? - Closure Eyed For City Offices

With the goal of allowing backlogged city workers to catch up on paperwork, schedule meetings, and attend training sessions, Oakdale city leaders are contemplating the idea of closing City Hall and the Development Services Building one day per week – Fridays – to meet the workload demands.

OID Plans Trip To D.C.

The Oakdale Irrigation District Board of Directors unanimously approved a proposal to send two directors and appropriate staff to Washington D.C., possibly in April, to meet with congressional members or staff. The action came at the Feb. 15 regular meeting.

Mayor Calling For COG Volunteers

Oakdale Mayor Pat Paul is seeking an interested Oakdale resident to serve on the Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG) Citizens Advisory Committee. The committee is made up of 15 members from all the cities and unincorporated areas of Stanislaus County. Currently there is no representative from Oakdale.
