The City of Oakdale named Touchdown Realty as the commercial Realtor that would list for sale or lease the Hershey Building at 120 S. Sierra Ave., Oakdale. City Manager Bryan Whitemyer announced the selection at the Monday, Sept. 15 council meeting.

Conflict Of Interest? - Questions Surround Fire Counsel

Attorney William D. Ross represents the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire District. Ross was also the district legal counsel for the Oakdale Rural Fire Protection District. So when the two entities met to draw up agreements, such as merger plans from earlier this year, the question has been asked if Ross had a conflict of interest and could adequately provide legal advice and represent the legal concerns of both sides.

State’s Cleanup Day Yields Tons Of Trash

Californians turned out by the tens of thousands on Sept. 20 to lend their hands in support of clean beaches and inland waterways at the 30th Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day.
