Price Hike At Pumps

Average retail gasoline prices in Modesto have risen 1.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.91/gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 201 gas outlets in Modesto. This compares with the national average that has increased 0.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.48/gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Jeans And Jerseys Crab Feed Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Crews from Collins Electrical Company out of Modesto wrapped up their portion of a project to install a lighted crosswalk at Yosemite and West H Street this past week, helping provide safer access across Yosemite for those headed for the Oakdale Community Park. Traffic along South Yosemite was restricted due to lane closures while the work was done over a several day period last week.

County Projects Outlined In Series Of Meetings

The Stanislaus Council of Governments, StanCOG, is serving as the lead agency for preparing an Environmental Impact Report for the 2018 Regional Transportation Plan and a Sustainable Communities Strategy. The project will address all transportation modes including motor vehicles, transit (commuter and local), rail, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, aviation systems, goods movement by rail and freight, and more. To aid in preparing the project, StanCOG has scheduled an EIR Scoping Meeting to get input on the scope and content of the environmental analysis that will be included in the draft EIR.
