Summer Activities Offered At New Melones Lake

The Bureau of Reclamation's Central California Area Office announced the summer 2012 Interpretive Activities at New Melones Lake, located in Calaveras County. All activities are at the Amphitheater at the Glory Hole Recreation Area and are free of charge and suitable for all ages, and most do not require reservations. Local 4-Hers Show Their Fashion

Orange Blossom 4-H Club recently hosted the annual Stanislaus County 4-H Fashion Review at Valley Home Elementary School. Boys and girls ages seven to 17 years old competed in categories where they either made their own outfits or purchased them and then modeled the outfits in front of judges for a score. Orange Blossom 4-Hers Cory Barney and Matthew Black hosted the event to earn their Emerald Stars.
