YES Company Marks 25th Anniversary Season In 2016

YES (Youth Entertainment Stage) Company is seeking students in grades seven through 12 to be actors, singers, dancers, and crew members for the production of "Les Misérables" (School Edition) to be performed at the Gallo Center for the Arts, July 22 through 31, 2016. No experience or preparation is necessary and all audition materials will be provided.

Reed Recognized For Youth Leadership

Celebrate 4-H Milestones was the theme of the 2016 Stanislaus County 4-H Leaders Recognition dinner. Joyce Reed, Orange Blossom club, was honored by the county with 45 years of youth leadership. She received the Emerald Clover pin and many gifts, flowers, and honors, for her dedication to the youth of the county and state. State’s Increased Flood Risk Being Reviewed By FEMA

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has released new data on National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policies, showing an increase of more than 27,000 new NFIP policies written in California during the month of December 2015. There is a 30- to 90-day waiting period for new policies to be reported to FEMA and the latest available data, released Feb. 16, shows an increase of more than 55,500 new flood insurance policies purchased in California from Aug. 31 to Dec. 31, 2015.

OHS Drama Club Presents “Rumors

Under the direction of drama teacher Bryan Mills, the Oakdale High School Drama Club will present a Neil Simon comedy, Rumors. This full length comedy will be presented on Friday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. in the OHS Theater.
