Annual Peddler’s Faire Supports Local Museum

Whether it be a love of the outdoors, a unique find or a bit of history, Knights Ferry has it all to offer its visitors. This Sunday, April 24 marks the perfect time to take advantage of it all as historic Knights Ferry hosts the 25th Gold Country Annual Peddler's Faire. The event will be hosted at the covered bridge and Army Corp Park along the Stanislaus River from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Market Moves Back To Third

After controversy with its location last year and the Oakdale Tourism and Visitors Bureau withdrawing its sponsorship, the Oakdale City Council on Monday, April 18 approved an application to move the Farmers' Market back to the downtown area after its brief departure to the Gene Bianchi Community Center plaza last year.

It was 33 years to the day that well known sports journalist and accomplished author Matt Fitzgerald crossed the Boston Marathon finish line for the first time. An event which has been noted on multiple fronts as life-changing for the then 11-year-old boy.

Weekend rain may have made conditions less-than-ideal for all things rodeo, but it didn't matter, as competitors, parade watchers and rodeo enthusiasts of all ages turned out in the Cowboy Capital of the World.
