Drugs Involved In Fatal Shooting

New developments have evolved in the fatal shooting that occurred Friday, Dec. 10 on the Oakdale Waterford Highway, near Milnes Road, following what was originally believed to be a botched home invasion in Hickman, causing investigators to suspect the attack was motivated by drugs.

School Nurse Advises Getting Booster Shots Now For Students

A state law that requires students currently in sixth through eleventh grades must have their whooping cough (pertussis) booster shots prior to starting school next year has the Oakdale Joint Unified School District urging parents to take care of it now. If students don't have shot records showing proof, they won't be allowed to enroll in school.

Christmas Cheer - Old Fashioned Downtown Holiday

All that's missing is the roasting chestnuts over an open fire but even so, the third annual Old Fashioned Christmas on Third Avenue, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 10 is bringing the holiday cheer with Christmas carolers, twinkling lights, hot cocoa and cider, more than 40 vendors, wagon rides through downtown and even pictures with Santa.
