City Council Had Full Agenda

The Oakdale City Council had a packed agenda on Tuesday night. The previous meeting, on Jan. 3, had only one item on the agenda due to the city's limited holiday hours. The Jan. 17 meeting, however, picked up the slack with more action items than usual before the council.

OID Rules On Dry Winter Actions

There was not a ruling to bring water into the Oakdale Irrigation District canal system, but the OID Board of Directors unanimously agreed to waive all fees associated with canal conveyance and to provide ditch tender services at no cost to assist farmer to farmer water transfers at the Jan. 17 regular meeting.

Residents Wary Of Cell Tower

In a move likely to frustrate some local residents, Oakdale City Council members will not be discussing a lease agreement for the installation of a 70-foot cell phone tower at their Jan. 17 meeting as previously anticipated.
