Mustangs Varsity, JV Fall To Rival Sonora

Oakdale's youth football and cheer program kicked off this past weekend with the Stampede hosting the Central Valley 49ers. The Junior Varsity boys shut out the 49ers 42-0 under quarterback Mickey Merzon, and a big offensive line anchored by center Bradley Joseph. The offensive line helped open holes for runners Yahir Ayala, Chris Thomas, Tate Cassaretto and Dalton Vargas, who all rushed for touchdowns in the win.
