Athlete of the Week - OHS Golf

Since the prep golf season has an early postseason, Oakdale High's boys golf team had the first chance of any Spring program on campus to secure a Sac-Joaquin Section title. They made the most of this opportunity on May 8 at the Division IV SJS Championships at the Diablo Grande Golf and Country Club in Patterson.

Jones Qualifies For NorCals

Oakdale High senior golfer Ryan Jones carded a 70-stroke performance at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton on Monday at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Championships. The effort allowed him to finish as the No. 2 individual to qualify for the NorCal Championships on May 21. Oakdale H.S. • Track & Field Oakdale High's sophomore talent, Kyle Peterson, hasn't waited long to continue the tradition of excellent Mustang track and field throwers like Tim House and Marco Camacho. Paterson heaved a 159 foot, 10 inch distance to win the Sacramento Meet of Champions and added a 160-2 toss to win a meet against Sonora just a few days later. Tennis Goes Down In Court Battle

Despite the tiebreaker that forced the Lady Mustangs to enter the 2012 Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs with the lowest possible seed, Oakdale's girls tennis team didn't go down without a fight. They ended their season with a 5-4 loss to Whitney on Monday, Oct. 29 in the opening round of the postseason.
