Athlete of the Week - OHS Golf

With two of the best programs in the conference closing in on the league schedule, Oakdale High's boys golf team needed superb scores to take an early lead In the Valley Oak League title race. They did just that after a stunning 196-214 victory over returning co-VOL champs East Union on March 20. Two days later, Oakdale again dropped below the elusive 200 mark with a 199-224 rout of Kimball.

Mustangs Gallop Past Sonora In Season Opening Victory

Friday night football is back at The Corral as the Mustangs hosted longtime rivals, the Sonora Wildcats in the 2014 season opener. Even though Sonora is no longer in the Valley Oak League, the rivalry between the two schools went on for 91 years in league play and still holds up as a big rivalry in California.
