Fishing Report

Today as I was pulling my boat out of the water, I saw a young boy riding his bike, steering with one hand, while the other was holding his fishing pole. What surprised me was that it was 100 degrees outside and he was just beginning to fish, while I was on my way out. I was reminded of a time when I would do anything to go fishing. The weather didn't matter, as long as my parents said it was okay. I really didn't care about the weather and often didn't bring anything but my tackle ...

Fishing Report

All week long I was being asked by my wife what I wanted for Father's Day. Like a lot of fathers, Father's Day kind of snuck up on us and really anything is appreciated. I'm easy; I was just as happy BBQing at home for the family as if we went out to an expensive restaurant for dinner. Actually, I'd rather be home with my family! As far as fishing, I enjoy an early summer morning trip on Father's Day. If you've never been out fishing this time of year before the sun begins ...

OHS Catcher Bryce Kirk Signs On With UOP

For four years, Bryce Kirk was the signal caller for the Oakdale Mustangs varsity baseball team. When Kirk first stepped on the baseball field at the varsity level his freshman year, he was shy and quiet. To outsiders he did not seem like a typical catcher. However, Kirk put all doubts aside when he took the squat behind the dish. The young man solidified his spot on the team and from day one, Kirk has been one of the marquee players in the respectable program.
