Thumbs Up For Homecoming

Recently adorned with a homecoming King crown by last year's winner, Blake Thompson, Oakdale High junior Justin Martinez is all smiles and all thumbs after receiving his 2011 selection from the OHS student body on Friday at the Mustang gymnasium. Martinez went on to watch Oakdale snare a basketball win over Kimball, and enjoyed homecoming festivities with fellow winners Haley Stout (queen), Mikey Stout (prince) and Kalkidan Curtis (princess). Tennis Goes Down In Court Battle

Despite the tiebreaker that forced the Lady Mustangs to enter the 2012 Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs with the lowest possible seed, Oakdale's girls tennis team didn't go down without a fight. They ended their season with a 5-4 loss to Whitney on Monday, Oct. 29 in the opening round of the postseason.
