Swimming For A Cause

The Oakdale Swim Masters will be hosting a swim fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Oakdale High School. The event will be a cancer awareness fundraiser at the Aquatic Center. It will be associated with the Fattal Foundation to help current patients and their families. There will be over 30 adults and youth swimmers participating throughout the day. The event is scheduled to start at 8 a.m.

Stampede Squad Corrals CenCal Super Bowl Win

For the third time in seven years, the Oakdale Stampede earned the title "Super Bowl Champions." This past Saturday the team knocked off Manteca 44-24 in the CenCal 2016 Super Bowl at Golden Valley High School in Merced.

Second Quarter Surge Lifts Oakdale To Win

The top seeded Oakdale Mustangs survived an early 16-7 first quarter deficit, falling behind early against eighth seeded Vista del Lago 63-35 on Friday night. But once they got on track, nothing could slow down Oakdale, as they took a 63-35 victory off the field. The Mustangs hosted the Eagles in the quarterfinal round of the 2016 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs at The Corral.

SUCCESSFUL SEASON

Members of the Oakdale High School varsity girls water polo team and coach Diane Kline pose proudly with their Sac-Joaquin Section Division I runner-up plaque after the Section final contest on Nov. 12. It was the first season the girls were placed in D-I for the playoffs and they battled to an outstanding second place finish.

Oakdale Heat Softball Squad Finds Success This Season

Take a short ride out to the OHS softball fields in the evening, and chances are you'll see a gaggle of young girls running bases, perfecting their batting, and practicing the fundamentals of the game of softball. Youth girls from Oakdale and surrounding communities have been playing for the Oakdale Heat, a travel softball team based out of Oakdale.

‘Big Time’ Wrestlers Coming To Region

Big Time Wrestling has entertained Bay Area crowds for more than 20 years. Now, they are making a trip to the Central Valley. On Saturday, Dec. 3 Big Time Wrestling will put on a show at Livingston High School. The independent wrestling show will bring their roster to the area for 'Holiday Havok.'

Stampede Scoreboard

The Oakdale Stampede varsity is one win away from winning the Super Bowl. The second seeded Stampede went to Atwater to take on the top seeded Thunder this past Saturday in the AFC Championship game. The Stampede silenced the Thunder 55-8 in the contest. In week three, the Thunder defeated Oakdale 28-14. Oakdale finished the regular season with a 9-1 overall record, tied with the Thunder.

Oakdale Girls Fall In Water Polo Section Finals

They say all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately for the Oakdale varsity girls water polo team, their reign as three-time defending CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Champions came to end as they fell to Davis Sr. High, 20-5, in the Division I finals on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Tennis Season Ends

For the first time in school history, the Oakdale girls tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Championships. Coming off their 7-2 win over Patterson in the first round of the Division III tournament, Oakdale hit a major stumbling block when they took on River City on Monday, Nov. 7. The girls lost 8-1 in the semifinals.

Mustangs Ground Eagles 49-0 In Opening Round Action

Playoff football kicked off this past week and for the top seeded Oakdale Mustangs, Thursday night's home game was as dominant as it gets. In the first round of the 2016 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division III playoffs, Oakdale blanked the 16th seeded McNair Eagles, 49-0.
