Mustang Varsity Hoop Boys Play VOL Spoiler

The Oakdale varsity boys basketball team celebrated Wednesday night not just for Senior Night but with a victory over Manteca. Oakdale's 64-54 home win over the Buffaloes was the first win over their rivals since Jan. 23, 2014 when Oakdale squeaked out a 49-48 home win.

It was a day of dominance by the Oakdale High School wrestling program. Fresh off their Sac-Joaquin Section Championship, 11 Mustang wrestlers battled their way to Valley Oak League championships on the way to the team's 12th straight VOL title.

Varsity Lady Mustangs Double Up Central Catholic

Oakdale's varsity girls basketball team (12-14, 4-9) suffered a 54-44 road loss to Manteca (17-9, 9-4) on Tuesday, Feb. 6. The girls regrouped quickly, however, and answered with a strong performance against Central Catholic on Thursday night when they defeated the visiting Lady Raiders 42-21.

Mustangs Win 10th Straight Wrestling Section Title

This past Saturday the Oakdale Mustangs wrestling team went into Lincoln High School of Stockton with one goal: Bring home the blue banner. Mission accomplished as the Mustangs defeated Vallejo 79-12 in the first round; Bear Creek 65-12 in the semi-finals and dominated Benicia 62-12 in the finals to win the 2018 CIF Sac-Joaquin DIII Section Championship.

The 2018 Central California Association, LBC 46 USA Boxing Junior Olympics will be hosted at Oakdale High School this spring. Memorial Fishing Tournament Scheduled March 3

San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation and the Delta Fly Fishers will present the 15th Annual Bob McMillen Memorial Fishing Tournament on Saturday, March 3 at Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton. Approximately 2,000 pounds of Rainbow Trout (including trophy-size fish) will be stocked in Oak Grove's 10- acre lake prior to the event.
