Athlete of the Week - Varsity Boys Cross Country

Oakdale High's varsity boys cross country team exploded onto the 2011 scene with victories over Ceres and Central Valley in a three-way preseason showdown in Ceres on Thursday, Sept. 1. Erick Padilla finished first overall (18 minutes, 39 seconds) and Mario Jimenez was just behind in second (18 minutes, 54 seconds). Oakdale runners followed with three other sub-21 minute times on the 5,000-meter course.
