Fishing Report

When I was growing up, a few houses down from us lived an older retired gentleman and his wife. He was known in the neighborhood for his luxurious garden and often would deliver fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the neighborhood. He was a man of very few words. My first impression of him was that he was a grumpy old man, "I was a teenager at the time." Like most families this time of year, a major yard clean-up day gets put on the to-do list. My family was no different. As we spent a better part of the day ...

2016 Racing Season

The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series looks to have some major exciting improvements for this season. First, and foremost, is the new TV deal with FOX Sports. In store are numerous live telecasts of qualifying and eliminations with a new television crew, to give fans a better insight and feel of the sport. In addition, the Pro Stock category will be featuring the next set of rule changes that include fuel injection and the removal of the "radical" hood scoops. This will help make the cars more identifiable with their street versions sold by the dealers. This should help ...

Fishing Report

Just when I was starting to imagine our lakes being full and our launch ramps being within walking, not hiking, distance from the parking lot, I read somewhere that we're not even close to filling up our local lakes. I'm not sure if that's something they're saying so that we don't get our hopes up, or if it's an actual fact? Like a lot of you, it's hard to believe that we won't have enough water.
