Mustangs Ground Eagles 49-0 In Opening Round Action

Playoff football kicked off this past week and for the top seeded Oakdale Mustangs, Thursday night's home game was as dominant as it gets. In the first round of the 2016 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division III playoffs, Oakdale blanked the 16th seeded McNair Eagles, 49-0.

Turkey Season Opens

Upland game hunters statewide are geared up for the opportunity to bag their Thanksgiving dinner, as California's 2016 general fall wild turkey hunting season is now open statewide. Opening as of Saturday, Nov. 12, the season extends through Sunday, Dec. 11, with a bag limit of one turkey (either sex) per day and no more than two per season.

Oakdale's defending six-time Valley Oak League champion, and defending three-time CIF Sac-Joaquin Section champion Lady Mustangs entered this season's water polo playoff tournament as the three seed in Division I. Volleyball Girls Exit Playoffs With First Round Upset Loss

In the first round of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division III playoffs, the Oakdale Lady Mustangs volleyball girls found themselves as the number seven seed. The defending Valley Oak League champions hosted 10th seeded El Camino in first round action on Tuesday night, Nov. 1. Oakdale's season came to a close in four sets; 27-25, 18-25, 25-27, 7-25.

Tennis Girls Advance In Section Competition

Following a successful Valley Oak League campaign, the Oakdale Lady Mustangs tennis girls earned a spot in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division III tournament. In the opening round Oakdale hosted Patterson on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Like they had during the regular season, Oakdale got a strong performance by all members of the team. Six of Oakdale's singles won their matches and two of the three doubles teams won to power Oakdale to a 7-2 victory.

Season Comes To A Close For Lady Mustang Golfers

Stampede Scoreboard

Mixed results for the Oakdale Stampede in the 2016 Cencal Playoffs this past weekend. For both the varsity and junior varsity football teams, it was a home evening in the first round of the playoffs. Eight teams made the tournament, with four teams from the AFC and four NFC representatives making the cut. Oakdale's varsity Stampede entered the tournament the number two seed in the AFC and played like the top ranked team.
