Track Runs Away From Lathrop In Home Meet

Oakdale High School's boys and girls track and field teams dominated visiting Lathrop on Thursday, April 12. The boys team defeated Lathrop 101-26 and the girls crafted an 85-47 win.

Ecological Tours Offered On April Weekends

Going on throughout the month of April, weekends will feature Ecological Reserve Tours at Elkhorn Slough, scheduled through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Volunteers lead walks every Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Binoculars and bird books are available for the public to borrow at no cost. The visitor center and main overlook are fully accessible. The day use permit fee is $4.12 per person, ages 16 and older (permits may be purchased on-site). Tennis Boys Split Week’s VOL Matches

Four hard fought battles on the court resulted in a pair of wins for the Oakdale Mustangs boys tennis program this week. Oakdale started the week on a strong note with home wins over East Union and Sierra. However, the Mustangs dropped their final two games, with a road loss to Sierra and a home loss to Central Catholic.

Swim Team Wins On The Road

Oakdale High School swim teams earned a road win over Sierra on Friday, April 13. The girls team won 132-41 and the boys battled it out in taking a 90-81 victory.

Mustang Golfers Stay On Par For VOL Title

The Oakdale High School boys golf team continues to dominate the Valley Oak League. The Mustangs completed the season sweep over East Union this past week with a 200-243 road win. With the win, the boys improved to 11-0 and are in position to win the Valley Oak League.

I was recently out fishing on the Delta with a friend and he mentioned to me out of frustration that he had all this tackle and still fishes with the same baits every time. Varsity Softball Girls Run League Mark To 11-0

Oakdale High School's varsity softball team remains unbeaten after defeating Sierra 6-0 on the road. In the Valley Oak League showdown, the Lady Mustangs beat the Wolves using their bats, clean defense and a solid game from Lexi Webb in the circle.

Tennis Boys Sweep Lathrop

In a doubleheader against Lathrop, the Oakdale High School boys tennis team was flawless. Over spring break the Mustangs went to Lathrop to take on the Spartans on Thursday, April 5. They played two, due to a rainout from their March 13 original match.
