Early Returns Show Santos Maintaining OID Seat

Unofficial results in the April 25 recall election for Oakdale Irrigation District Director Linda Santos showed with just under 500 votes counted, the 'No' votes for recall were 276 to 218 'Yes' votes. The early, unofficial returns show Santos holding on to the post but there are additional ballots to review before the count is finalized and the results can be certified.

Members of the Stanislaus County Veterans Advisory Commission made an appearance at the Oakdale City Council Chambers on Monday evening, April 24. The commission, according to Chairman Richard Edgecomb, makes it a point to visit the various districts within the county in an ongoing effort to keep local veterans apprised of benefits and developments that matter in their lives.

The clouds gave way to beautiful sun for the Peddler's Faire on Sunday. The day started with a breakfast at the Odd Fellows Hall then a shuttle would transport down to the park where the many vendors were set up.
