TIME FOR TOYS

These volunteers were among those helping make the holidays a little brighter. The folks at the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots opened their Oakdale headquarters at the former Payless Shoe Store building on Maag Avenue this past week, working in cooperation with the Masons of the Oak Summit Lodge in Knights Ferry on the project. Toys were brought in to the location and were distributed to families from throughout surrounding areas.

Harlan Takes First At Reno TOC Wrestling Tournament

Oakdale racked up some miles this past weekend when the wrestling team traveled to Reno to compete at the Reno Tournament of Champions. The two-day tournament featured top wrestlers from California and Nevada. As a team, Oakdale placed fifth overall and senior Colbey Harlan walked out as a champion. The team scored 172.5 points over the weekend.
