Mustangs Suit Up For Gridiron Action

The summer is off to a sizzling start but it will not be long before the boys of fall take over Oakdale. Like National Football League (NFL) teams, the Oakdale High School varsity football team is currently prepping for the upcoming season. Several members of the Mustang squad headed up to Placer High School recently to participate in a multi-team training camp.

OBA, All-Star Teams Battle In Tournament

Five teams participated in the four-day annual Oakdale Baseball Association (OBA) Come As You Are tournament this past week. The action began on Wednesday, June 17 and came to a close on Saturday, June 20 under the lights of Fair Oaks Field at Fair Oaks Elementary School. The 12 and under division ballplayers geared up to play under the blazing afternoon sun and under the cool breeze and lights for their night games and put on a show for their fans, family and friends.

Thelma Mae Fields Pruitt went home to be with our Lord surrounded by her family at home on Friday May 29, 2015. She was 78 years old. Mimi, as she was lovingly called, was born on August 13, 1936 in Grove, Oklahoma to William and Bernice Fields. She was one of ten children. SUZANN ( SUE) GALE

On Saturday July 16, 1955 Suzann (Sue) Gale made her grand entrance into this world. Born to Ward and Maryann Mercer in Pomona, California, she was the youngest of three children, welcomed home by big brother Mark and big sister Ginger. And on May 27, 2015 she again was welcomed home, this time into the arms of the Lord. She lost her battle with a debilitating disease after fighting valiantly for three and a half years. Late Spring Drop Seen In Gas Prices

Average retail gasoline prices in Modesto have fallen 4.0 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.44/gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 201 gas outlets in Modesto.
