Deborah passed away on November 4, 2017 at the age of 61. She was a lifelong resident of Oakdale. She graduated from Oakdale High School, and worked for Hunt Wesson/ConAgra for 43 years. ROSALYN BEAUCHAMP

Rosalyn Beauchamp, 80, of Fairbanks, passed away, October 17, 2017, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, Fairbanks, Alaska, peacefully in her sleep following a very brief and unexpected battle with ovarian cancer. She was born Rosalyn Burton on June 20, 1937, in Bell, California and reared in Riverbank. She spent many years in Turlock before moving to Camino (Apple Hill) where she lived until she left California and moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 2004 following the death of her husband of nearly 45 years. GEORGE ALLEN WAGNER

George passed away peacefully at his home in Oakdale on Oct. 6th. He was born and raised in Walla Walla, WA. He later received his teaching degree at Eastern Washington University. He moved to California and became a middle school teacher and football coach in Pleasanton. He enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife, Linda. They especially enjoyed the coast.

Dear Rusty: I have delayed taking my Social Security retirement benefits for about three years past my full retirement age. I now want to start collecting benefits and am confused about the benefit calculation if I start midyear. Yesterday, I went to the Social Security office and applied and was told I would receive $1,000 month (to make up a number) starting in November and again in December, and then in January the amount would increase to $1070.
