Athlete of the Week - Marcus Hernandez

Oakdale needed a big performance last week from senior fullback Marcus Hernandez in a showdown at Aptos, and they got one. Hernandez ran for three first half touchdowns and exploded for a kick off return score in the second half to lead the Mustangs to a 55-21 non-league victory over a quality Central Coast Section program.

New Teen Center Starts Taking Shape

Janelle Scheper looked all over the Central Valley for the perfect location for a new youth center, and she found her ideal spot in downtown Oakdale. The Zone, scheduled to open in October, will offer entertainment for children and youth from toddlers to teens at its South Second Avenue location.
