Museum Honors Yosemite Connection

The Oakdale Cowboy Museum was filled with people Wednesday, Jan. 29 as the crowd came for the official opening of the museum's newest exhibit, "The Tales of the Yosemite Back Country, Mather Saddle & Pack Station, operated by the Barnes Family since 1929" in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the Yosemite Grant Act.

Go! Fight! Win!

Last year, Oakdale High School Cheer Coaches, Heather Vieira, Sherry Kupper, and Melissa Xavier, started the Mini Mustang cheer clinic where little girls in grades K-6 would cheer for the first half of a home varsity Mustang game with the Mustang cheerleaders as well as perform the half-time show. The coaches had modest expectations but were blown away when 116 little girls participated.

I have an issue with finality. At the end of every year, as everyone is celebrating the ball drop on a New Year, I'm lamenting the fact that I'll never be in that moment again - another year lost to time, never to experience again. In that second before the big calendar change, I panic just a little knowing that it's over. I'm happy to report that the panic doesn't last but I can always count on it because I hate endings.
