New Owner Rolls Into Oakdale Bicycle Shop

The owners of the Oakdale Bicycle Shop may have changed, but the main featured item is still bicycles. Dave Enz took over the shop on Oct. 1 and has plans to do some renovations. Ed Battisfore is the store manager and Andre Hummer is the head mechanic. Enz commented that all three of them have worked together for many years. The Oakdale Bicycle Shop is at 445 E. Crowd Gathers For Ford Mixer

General Manager Erich Haidlen threw a mixer earlier this month at the Haidlen Ford Dealership on East F Street in Oakdale, participating in the "Go Further With Ford Night" promotion and activities. The showroom was filled with tables and people mingling. Over 100 people stopped by throughout the evening to take part in the festivities.

Annual Donation Helps Local Children In Crisis

The Children's Crisis Center of Stanislaus County is a non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter for abused, neglected, and at risk children. Some of the other services they provide are temporary childcare for families in crisis, meals, nutrition education for families, one-on-one guidance to high risk families, resources, and referrals. These services are all provided free of charge to families in need. Currently there are five children's shelters in the community, three in Modesto, one in Turlock, and the Guardian House in Oakdale, which serves youth in Oakdale, Riverbank and beyond.
