Victims Sustain 'Possibly Life-Threatening' Injuries

Oakdale Police made an arrest for attempted murder following a stabbing early morning Saturday, Feb. 25 at a local bar. They are also investigating the death of a 43-year-old city woman in an unrelated incident.

Tourism Board Gets One-Year Reprieve

By a 4-1 vote, with councilman Tom Dunlop opposed, the Oakdale Tourism Board will continue to operate for a year, utilizing a hotel tax to promote the city in an effort to attract visitors.

An early morning auto accident Monday, Feb. 20 resulted in charges of felony driving under the influence and child endangerment being brought against Riverbank City Councilman Jesse James White.

Saturday Museum Fundraiser Success

Stepping back in time, patrons of the old-fashioned speakeasy set up inside Oakdale's Gene Bianchi Community Center on Saturday night seemed right at home, visiting the blackjack tables, listening to a singer croon a song, taking a spin on the ballroom dance floor, even enjoying a libation at the bar.
