There was a fire last week on the Noe property off Tulloch Road and Highway 108. It only burned 5 acres of theirs and 5 acres of their neighbors before it was brought under control.

Welcome to the community Richard and Leta Lutz. They bought the Lund property and are now settled in. They have joined the Community Club.

The annual Knights Ferry Pumpkin Roll is looking for crafters for the craft fair. The 10 by 10 booth space is $30 for homemade crafts. Call Kim at 602-6619 if you are interested.

At the Knights Ferry Community Club meeting Gayle told of a contest for the Knights Ferry School children to design the new T-shirt logo for the Pumpkin Roll. The winner gets the first shirt off the press and $25.

The Knights Ferry School held Student Council elections last week. President is Moriah Loomis, Vice President is Alondra Machado, Secretary is Logan Martinelli and Treasurer is Rilyn Cassaretto. Have a great year!

The Knights Ferry Community Park was the setting for the wedding of Lauren Jonell Furtado and Rick Massella last Saturday. The reception was at the clubhouse. Lauren’s mom is Jewls Rosso.

Knights Ferry School Board will meet September 13th at the school at 6:00 p.m.

Lee Shearer (and Mary Sue) gave a talk on Knights Ferry to the Oakdale Sunrise Rotary last Friday, hitting on the highlights of the town’s founding and growth.
