Albert W. Buerer, 98, died Saturday, Aug. 4 in Oakdale.

He was born in Danville on Nov. 29, 1913 to George Phillip and Caroline Elizabeth (Niles) Buerer.

Mr. Buerer owned Oakdale Hardware and Al’s Music Store.

He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Buerer; brother, Ralph (Virginia); five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn Consoli Buerer; sons, Roy and Paul; daughter, Judy and her husband Eric Homrighausen; and his parents.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 10 at United Community Methodist Church, Oakdale.

Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.
