Quit Smoking Class Opens

For individuals who feel like its time to "kick the butts," a free program is available to help people get on the road to better health.

The Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) Prevention Programs Department is providing a series of classes designed to help people stop smoking. This eight-session course is free and open to everyone.

The next Freedom From Smoking class will begin with an orientation meeting today, Tuesday, June 5. Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30p.m. to7:30p.m. at the Stanislaus County Office of Education, 1100 H Street, Modesto.

The programs are conducted by the Stanislaus Advocacy Action Team, a project of the SCOE’s Prevention Programs Department. For more information or to register, please call Erikka Perry at (209) 238-1367.
