Hoyet Seals, 94, died Thursday, March 15.

He and wife, Arline Seals, moved to Oakdale from Southern California in 1988.

He and his wife enjoyed their home in Oakdale where they were active members in the Community United Methodist Church.

Mr. Hoyet enjoyed fishing, camping, and creating projects, including model railroads, in his workshop. He loved spending time with his family and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arline Seals; daughter, Kathleen Sullivan; son, Steven (Stephanie) Seals, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, John (Erica) Seals in 2001.

A private family burial was held, March 19 followed by a luncheon at the Community United Methodist Church of Oakdale.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in his memory to Community United Methodist Church; or to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
