Congratulations go out to these Knights Ferry Students for their award of good citizenship: Levi Dickens, Aubrey Mendonca, Carter Sturtevant, Deagan Sweet, Ben Cassinetto, Jackson Ault, Breanna Banks, Dylan Anderson, Tate Cassaretto, Ember Harris, Natalie Barton, Presley Wilson, Matthew Wolf, Lenin Palafox, Ian Carroll, Mikali Willis, Angel Limon, Austin Santillo, Rilyn Cassaretto, Eden Cassinetto, Julia Nilsson, Shawn Spani, Ray Patton, Jenna Armario, Mariah Loomis, Shaela Borba, Salvador Limon, Harrison Ault, Cleo Wilson, Kaeli Sturtevant and Marina Braaton. Keep up to good work!

Some of the exciting live/silent auction items that are on tap at the March 17th dinner are: San Jose Sharks tickets, Great America tickets, four days at the Sacramento Music Festival, five day tickets for two persons to the PBR finals in Las Vegas, several golf packages and many more including each class’s project. Tickets are $30 pre-paid and $35 at the door. Dinner is a steak dinner with all the trimmings.

Scott Redden has been promoted to E-5 so now he is Sergeant Redden! Congratulations!

At the Knights Ferry School Board meeting the Board had to lay off one teacher for the fall due to lack of money. If the November vote does not pass, KFS will take a $43,000 mid-year cut. The school is in declining enrollment, partly due to more moms working and the lack of day care in the area for those interdistrict students.

Good to see Reba out and about after two weeks of being down!

The Civil War is coming to the Ferry March 24th and 25th. The battles on Saturday are 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The camps are open before and after the battles to see how the soldiers lived. The Knights Ferry Community Club Spaghetti Dinner will be after the last battle on Saturday. It is $7.00 for an adult and $4.00 for child under 10. There will also be a raffle. The club will use the money generated for paint for the clubhouse and the old firehouse. Come spend the day in the Ferry!
