Scarves For Seniors

POSTED January 3, 2012 2:27 p.m.

Several Orange Blossom 4-H club members, in contributed photo at side, made approximately 110 scarves in December to contribute to the Oakdale Police Department’s senior outreach program coordinated by CAPS (Citizens Auxiliary Police Services) member Lupe Aguilera.

Also during the month, the club members used funds and donations to purchase a Christmas tree complete with decorations, as well as Kmart and Cost Less gift cards, for a needy family in Oakdale. The 4-Hers also made more than 100 Christmas cards they shared with residents of Oak Valley Care Center and they did Christmas caroling in local neighborhoods to spread holiday cheer.
