Ryan and Janessa Payne of Oakdale welcomed the arrival of their son, Ryder James Payne, on Nov. 7, 2011. The newborn weighed nine pounds, three ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.

The mother is the former Janessa Valk.

Don and Carla Valk of Oakdale are the maternal grandparents.

Jim and Judy Payne of Turlock are paternal grandparents.
