Suspected OPD Materials Thief Turns Self In

Yuri Pearson, 34, the man suspected of stealing a variety of items from a locked storage cabinet in the Oakdale Police Department during a remodel of the station last year, turned himself in Thursday, Aug. 11, according to police reports.

Pearson, a former city of Oakdale Public Works employee, had been arrested Aug. 1 on suspicion of making criminal threats during a domestic disturbance and attempted rape. Additional charges were levied when the theft was discovered.
