POSTED June 10, 2011 12:29 p.m.

The Oakdale Family Church of the Nazarene will hold a fundraiser picnic and concert Sunday, June 12 to raise funds to send 12 Oakdale youths to the Nazarene Youth Conference in Louisville, Kentucky from July 5-10 for fellowship and to learn of the transformational power of God. Thousands of students from all over the United States and Canada will be attending.

This life-changing event will feature dynamic speakers, worship, sessions on leadership, and learning about service projects that can be done within our community. The focus will be on how hope and healing can be brought to the brokenness of the world. They will envision "A World Unbroken."

The fundraiser will feature free family activities such as pony rides for the kids, wagon rides, softball, horseshoes and much more. There will be a chuck-wagon style dinner served from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The students will appreciate your best donation to the cause.

The concert will begin at 5:30 p.m., featuring "Praise Song" with Rick Baldwin from Oakdale and "Amazing Grace" with Ronnie Pack from Dinuba.
