Bobby Ray Bice, 75, died Thursday, May 5.

He was born to Emery and Etta Bice in Scipio, Oklahoma.

He was a resident of Riverbank for 13 years. He previously lived in Oakdale for more than 40 years.

Mr. Bice was a Navy veteran.

He was employed at Hershey’s for 33 years.

He was a very active member of the Riverbank Assembly of God Church – board member, children’s church, Royal Ranger leader, mission trips, and prison ministry.

He wrote a book and was working on another. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Diane; daughters, Joann Jackson, Jenifer McClain; brothers, Arvil, Bill, Bud, Renel, and Larry Bice; grandchildren, Amy and Larry Hayes, Amanda and Kallie Jackson; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean.

A viewing and a celebration of life was held May 11 at the Assembly of God Church, Riverbank. Burial will be at San Joaquin National Cemetery, Santa Nella.

Eagan Family Funeral Home, Modesto, in charge of arrangements.
