Harold Bernard Buettner, 86, died peacefully Friday, April 8 at home with family caring for him.

Mr. Buettner was a resident of Oakdale since 1995.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his children, Linda of Magalia, Mike (Diane) of Grass Valley, Janet of Modesto, Nancy (John) of Oakdale, John (Cathy) of Fremont; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Margaret.

A funeral mass will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1225 Olive Ave., Oakdale. A time of remembrance and celebration of his life will follow in the Parish Hall with refreshments being served.
