POSTED July 7, 2009 4:46 p.m.
Angie (Martinelli), husband Richie Studer, and son Pete are out from Switzerland visiting the Martinelli family. Bill and Kay took them in their 5th wheel to the wine country and then up to Gold Beach, Oregon. The men enjoyed a free fishing trip on the Rogue River. They journeyed across Oregon and up to Priest River, Idaho to see Mickie Martinelli’s children, Rossi and Will. Rossi has a summer job at a water park and Will made it to the Junior Rodeo Finals in Gallup, Mew Mexico. Richie even got on a bull while there! It was an enjoyable trip. When they got home, Pete celebrated his first birthday with his cousins.

Ken and Linda Morris and granddaughter Rhiannon toured Yellowstone National Park, where it rained every day. They left Oakdale and made their first stop at Cabellas in Reno, did some shopping, and then went to Wells, Nevada and then to West Yellowstone. They took in the Railroad Museum there. Rhiannon became a Junior Ranger and got her badge. She had to find various things in the park, animals etc. to get her badge. They had a great time and Rhiannon has loads of animal pictures in her photo album!

The Knights Ferry Community Club’s annual July picnic was moderately attended. There was a lot of good food and fellowship. Matt Boyer enjoyed it with grandparents Jim and Diane Boyer.
*****
Lee and Marry Sue Shearer attended the 50th wedding anniversary party of Lee’s sister, Jean and brother-in-law, Harvey Hickey. All four of the Hickey children were there, and 11 of the 13 grandchildren attended. It was a beautiful party.
