Knights Ferry News for January 26, 2011

POSTED January 25, 2011 3:16 p.m.

For the third time in a month the power was out for a long time. This time it went out at about 6:00 p.m., dinner time! Your reporter had almost finished cooking so on went the lids and finished with residual heat. Dinner was by a propane lantern. Some Ferrians went out to dinner, some ate cold sandwiches and some were already through eating. Most just went to bed.

There is a lot of activity on Main Street. The cable layers are approaching the telephone building. Benny and his crew are working on the River’s Edge and Heather Voortman and her crew are working on the Creamery. It will be nice when we have eating establishments again!
