This is the week that many of our Valley Home 4H’ers are busy at the Stanislaus County Fair along with their parents so news has been hard to get but the following PeeWee Showmanship news was received late Sunday evening. For the rabbit showmanship award, Kiley Rinna placed 6th in 4H True Novice. The results in PeeWee Showmanship were Ben Fletcher and Cody Soares receiving awards in swine, Macy Soares in beef calf and Wyatt and Emma Woenschul and Callie Chrisman in meat goats.Hailey Smith won a second place and two third place awards for her photographs of her new puppies Rocket and Jaimey and hay swathing and a branding scene. That is the fair scene through Sunday evening, more will be reported next week.*****The Valley Home Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) will meet tonight, July 21, at the Valley Home School library at 6:30 p.m. This monthly meeting presents the opportunity for community residents to hear reports from county department representatives as to what is happening and also opportunities to present ideas or problems to their county supervisors through the community MAC meetings. For those who have an interest in their community this is an important meeting and you do not want to miss it. See you there!
