Delays Due On Roadways

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the eastbound and westbound State Route 4/Crosstown Freeway connector ramp to northbound Interstate 5 for construction work. Crews began work on Tuesday, May 23 and it will continue through Thursday, May 25, running from 10 p.m. until 4:30 a.m.

The on-ramp at Center Street to westbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway will also be closed overnight through Thursday, May 25 from 10 p.m. until 4:30 a.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

Various road construction activities on State Route 99 (SR-99) from the Stanislaus/San Joaquin County line to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line are also scheduled. No consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time. Work will occur as follows:

The #1 (left) and #2 (middle) lanes on northbound and southbound SR-99 from Stanislaus/San Joaquin County line to SR-120/Manteca Bypass will alternately close beginning overnights through Friday, May 26, 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.; full connector ramp closure from northbound SR-99 to westbound SR-120/Manteca Bypass through Friday, May 26, 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.; the #1 (left) and #2 (middle) lanes on northbound and southbound SR-99 from Arch Road to SR-4/Crosstown Freeway will alternately close through Friday, May 26, 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.; and the northbound and southbound on and off-ramps on SR-99 from Mariposa Road to Golden Gate Avenue will close through Friday, May 26, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5- to 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

Finally, Caltrans will close the connector ramp from northbound State Route 99 (SR-99) to westbound SR-120/Manteca Bypass for striping operations. Work will continue through Friday, May 26, 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
