John ‘Tracy’ Grigg

John ‘Tracy’ Grigg, 57, of Riverton, WY died unexpectedly on April 20 in Riverton.

He was born in Cody, WY to Tom and Shirley Grigg. He attended grade school in Riverton, WY and graduated from high school in Dillon, MT. He continued his education at Montana State University in Bozeman where he was active on the rodeo team.

Mr. Grigg lived in Oakdale for a few years, roping and working, mostly roping.

He had a long career in the oil field industry, first with Fluid Processors and then Stallion Oilfield Services as a field supervisor and was well known in the field. He was also a skilled equine dentist.

He enjoyed his family, friends, horses, rodeo and roping and his many roping buddies around the west.

He is survived by his parents, Tom and Shirley Grigg of Riverton; brother, Tom (Kristi); sister, Kristie and her significant other Scott Christensen; girlfriend Jody Squire and her daughters Heather and Tanna; uncle, Bill Clark; cousins, Margaret Magnus, Elizabeth Hartzell, Catherine Hartzell, Kelly Cain and Cindy McConnaughney, along with their husbands and children; and many dear friends including Mike, Maureen, and Sam Linden.

A service was held Friday, April 23 in Riverton, WY.
