Frank ‘Jim’ Mathews, 75, died Sunday, March 28 at his home in Ottawa, KS of natural causes.

He was born in Santa Anita. He was a resident of Oakdale for 23 years.

He worked for Oakdale Irrigation District for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Mathews of Ottawa, KS; children, Patience Gregory, Charity Gwartney, both of Oakdale, Renee Boutsikakis of Modesto, Marie Joiner of Ceres, Rachel Kaye of Ottawa, KS; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Mathews; father, Frank Mathews; and brother, William Mathews.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
