The first rattlesnake has been reported. Jill McPhee got one on her patio. Be cautious when outside!

Welcome to the world Trinitie Nunes, born in February to Monica (Balmanno) and Jake Nunes. She joins big sister Serenity at home. Monica went to Knights Ferry School and the Balmanno’s were active in Orange Blossom 4-H.

Knights Ferry School collected $283.51 for “Pennies for Patients.”

Gayle Diltz spoke to a fourth grade class at Cloverland School on being blind. The class was reading a book about a blind boy and the teacher asked Gayle to come visit and give a first hand account of the difficulties of no sight. She brought some of her equipment to show the students. Gayle said that the class was very interested in everything.

At the Community Club meeting the Community Park was hotly discussed. Also the Army Corp’s planning to charge to park at the Park was discussed and how it will affect the town. Chris Peterson told of the final plans for the Car Show. The spaghetti dinner did not do as well as last year; there were not as many people in attendance. Still the club made about $2400.

The weather was great for the second annual Car Show. Miles Shuper and his crew did a great job putting it all together. There were 200 cars on display all around the town.

The sun rose Easter morning behind some clouds but there was no wind, and then the sun came out and shone on the faithful gathered at the cross on Frymire Hill. Pastor Bob Sadler led the prayer, songs and sermon.
